The hotel we stayed at, we decided from now on when we travel
we will always book with hilton. Great service and beautiful hotel.
There was plenty of desert surrounding our hotel.
Most of the people of Egypt lived in these type of huts
in the desert.
Some of the wild life, being the animal lover that i am
i was thrilled to be able to hold this little guy.
This is a great way for the Muslim women to make some extra money.
They cook these wraps for almost every meal. They were pretty tasty.
I really wanted to see the women behind the mask...
I found this to be very interesting, the people of this village feed their
goats cardboard made out of sugar plants. They are very resourceful in Egypt.
The 96 year old woman.
I loved the camels, also learned that they can go up to 5 months without water.
Thankfully they were getting their water while we were there. As i tend to feel
bad for them, being in the desert heat and being forced to give rides to all
overweight tourists.
The desert was beautiful around sunset. We were on a safari tour
for the day and were able to stay until sunset.
This little guy stole my heart. As i said in my introduction
I am the type to wander from the herd. I decided to walk around alone in the
evening and came across this little guy and his momma laying down in the desert.
It was around dinner time and i stole some food and feed both of them after of course
smothering them both. Earlier in the day i almost got into serious trouble for givingthe
mother good drinking water ( this little guy must have been hiding somewhere in the
mean time). In case most of you don't know, the drinking water in Egypt is not ok to
drink. So they have to preserve as much as possible. I however did not care, once you
have a dog ( giving you those eyes) while you are drinking fresh cold water
you cannot just look away (like everyone else did).
Our entertainment for the evening. He put on an awesome show.
The maldives of Egypt. We snorkeled at 3 different islands.
I of course was terrified. They dropped us in the middle of the Red Sea
and said ok swim to the island and i seen my first sting ray. As well as numerous purple jelly fish (they do not sting).
Our hotel was also so beautiful, i also would have been okay
with just staying there all day.
Behind our hotel also had an amazing coral reef for snorkeling.
I would definitely go back, it was also a very inexpensive trip.
I'm your biggest fan! :)
